About BONTARIA
BONTARIA is a New York–based home décor brand creating European-crafted birchwood serving trays, illustrated table accessories, and linen table textiles designed by Laura Molina ,an artist with a background in fine art, and set design. Her creative path has always revolved around art, color, and composition — there has never been another way for her to see or explore the world but through observation, beauty, and the emotions people bring into it. Her work is also guided by a sense of humor and lightness, believing that joy and curiosity are essential parts of any creative life.
Her collections are inspired by her travels, the cultures she has absorbed, and the joy of meaningful connections with friends and artists who share her passion for creativity and good design. The tabletop line was born from that same spirit of gathering — of cooking for friends, setting a beautiful table, and spending long evenings filled with laughter, ideas, and endless glasses of wine and coffee. The collections combine fine-art references with everyday functionality, creating pieces meant to be used and enjoyed rather than simply displayed.
Laura grew up in a family where her father created that magic of togetherness — where every meal became a celebration, and every table told a story. Through BONTARIA, she continues that tradition: creating pieces meant to be shared, to bring people closer, and to remind us that beauty, like good company, is best enjoyed around the table.
The name BONTARIA comes from two Italian words: Bontà, meaning generosity or goodness, and Aria, meaning air. Together, they express the essence of “good air” — that fresh breath we take when seeking clarity, inspiration, and new beginnings.
BONTARIA celebrates the beauty of slow living — the pleasure of a table beautifully set, the laughter of friends, and the simple act of gathering. Each piece is crafted to bring warmth, character, and a touch of humor to the moments we share.
